This afternoon, KS2 had their own little tea party. We had planned to go to the courts, but the weather was unfortunately not in our favour. Therefore, we set up in the downstairs hall. Years 3-6 played games, had scones and strawberry jam (made by Year 4), fresh bread (made by Year 5), pizzas and French toast (made by Year 6). In PE, we have been working on our tennis skills this term. We've been really lucky with the weather and Year 6 are getting better each week. Due to a slight change in transport arrangements, the letters for our two trips next week haven't gone out, yet. They will, however, be with you as quickly as possible.
30th June (all day) - Shipbuilding Trip (Bristol Harbourside and Mshed) 1st July (all day) - Bath Spa University Trip If you are able to accompany us on either trip, please let me know. After having given their presentations about future career choices this morning, Year 6 spent the afternoon doing a workshop with Steph from Bath Spa. She taught them all about higher education and university life. For anyone, who has forgotten/lost/eaten their project task. Please remember, your project is due on Tuesday, 23rd June.
This week was Money Week and Year 6 have taken up the challenge to try and run their own business, choosing, selling and re-stocking products for three days. After a slow start on Monday, they were rushed off their feet on Wednesday. (I was rather astonished that most of them had sold out after less than an hour.) Well done, Year 6! They have re-invested their profits from the Christmas Market well, making a "profit" of £195. Thank you very much to all the parents for the support this week!
We had another visit from A-Life this week. Years 5 and 6 have been learning about how to keep healthy and took part in a circuit training session. |
