Science: Labelling life. Read the text and complete the worksheet.
Maths: Blue - Equations 3; Orange - Percentages; Green - Function machines; Pink/Purple - Algebra; Check MyMaths for your task. Complete any overdue work. Due: 02/03/15 Writing: Punctuation Focus. Due: 03/03/15 Reading: Complete the comprehension questions. Due: 04/03/15 Writing: Complete Homework Task 5 - Developing your paragraphs. (Improve one of your paragraphs from the discussion text by using a variety of sentences.) Due: 23/02/15
Reading: The Road not taken. Due: 24/02/15 Science: No Science homework. Maths: No Maths homework. SPaG: No SPaG homework. Half-term homework: Finish off your 500 word story and edit it, ready to be typed up when we get back. Due: 23/02/15 Writing: This task has been moved to next week, so no writing homework to complete for Monday. (Really sorry, but I just haven't had the time to check all of it and it wouldn't be fair to set this without handing the planning back.)
Reading: The Prince and the Pauper Science: Being different Maths: Blue - no homework this week; Green - complete the set pages in your revision booklet (calculations); Orange - complete set tasks on MyMaths; Pink/Purple - complete set pages in revision booklet (measures) SPaG: Either "Capital letters" or "Impersonal writing", depending on your goup. Read "A Series of Unfortunate Events - The Bad Beginning". You might have the book at home, on your kindle or you can download a copy from here. Once you have read the book, write a review and post it in the Book Club section. Be prepared to talk about the language used in the book when you return to school in January.
English: Complete you SPaG tasks (coloured homework sheets). Remember to learn your spellings.
Maths: Complete any of your outstanding Maths tasks on MyMaths. Re-do tasks, if you have not achieved a green smiley. Reading: Remember to complete your reading tasks for this term in the Book Club section of the website. English: Remember to complete your SPaG homework. This should be the coloured sheets in your folder. You also need to do any of your unfinished in-class work.
Spelling: Remember to practise your spellings for Monday. Maths: Complete any outstanding MyMaths tasks. Remember to bring in your costumes for your dress rehearsal on Monday. Please bring in any empty glass jars you still have at home for next week. English: Complete you SPaG homework tasks (coloured sheets). Due: 01/12/14
Maths: Complete your homework task. This will depend on your group. If you are working on the yellow booklet, remember to finish any tasks up to page 26, as well as any outstanding tasks on MyMaths. If you have been working on the L6 transformations, remember to complete one additional task in that section on MyMaths. Everyone else should either have a sheet labelled "Symmetry" or "Exercise 4". Science: Complete the work on "Mirrors". English: Complete your homework sheet (coloured). This is either work on Adverbs or the task on Extended Noun Phrases. Due: Monday, 24th November. (Remember to catch up on any unfinished SPaG work from this week. We have been working on Speech Punctuation, so check that these tasks are completed.)

Try to learn the spelling of at least three of them. Maths: You should complete your Maths task either in your folder or in your Maths booklet (this will depend on your current group). Due: Thursday, 13/11/14 Science: Read through the text and answer the question on "Voltage in series circuits". We've looked at voltage and current this week. Due: Friday, 14/11/14 If you are running out of lined paper, please remember to top up your folder when you are in class. Either get some paper from the drawer or ask me for some. |
