This afternoon, Year 6 have been learning about micro-organisms. We used yeast to make the balloons inflate. On Monday, we were lucky enough to be treated to a BMX show. Due to the poor weather, the event took place in the hall.
The tests, however, were only a small part of our work this week. When we weren't answering silly questions about bananas, socks or pronouns, Year 6 were working hard on their artwork. Some of it will be exhibited at the South Bristol Arts Trail this weekend. Bubbles, ribbons and continuous line drawings of owls...they've worked really hard. If you aren't able to make it to Ashton Gate Primary, you can take a little look here: This afternoon, Year 6 started to think about the upcoming election and what democracy means. We had to clarify that "Labour" doesn't have anything to do with giving birth in this context to begin with, and slowly started to understand that sometimes you might still not get what you want - even if you have voted. Year 6 then came up with their own parties and made choices about what they would have as part of their party manifesto, if it were up to them. (I think they've actually made some really well-considered choices.) |
