Back from Treginnis and Year 6 have gone straight into revision I have to admit, they are taking it very well, showing great participation and focus in revision lessons...and (for the most part) remembering to read the questions more carefully. :) We are currently concentrating on filling in the last few gaps in Maths and SPaG. I know it feels like we are covering a lot in a very short time. However, all of it is revision, which means we have done these things before...they just get forgotten easily.
Year 6, please
- remember to do your homework
- revise your multiplication tables (you need these for multiplication, division, factors, multiples, primes, etc.)
- secure your understanding of measurements
- practise your SPaG vocabulary (connectives/conjunctions, pronouns, nouns, verbs, adverbs, contractions, adverbial and noun phrases, punctuation marks, etc.)
- get enough sleep and eat well
- relax after school as much as possible...play, do sports and enjoy yourselves
Above all: don't stress. (At least try not to.)
It might help to know that you are not alone in having to take a test, so I found this for you:
