In Maths, Year 6 spent the lesson working together to solve number problems, thinking carefully about multiplication tables and patterns.
In the afternoon, Year 6 looked at WW2, arranging a timeline and then trying to answer a question about Joe's cake. (Why could Joe not have a cake for his 10th birthday in April 1944?) For this, they had to organise and sort information, discuss which reasons might be most important and come up with their own hypothesis (which appears to be a rather tricky word).
