This afternoon, 10 children from Year 5 and 6 ventured down the road to play a hockey match against BGS. Having survived the trip on the minibus (I'm not that bad a driver, really), they had the opportunity to play their first 7-a-side match. Throughout, they played well together and managed to put the other team under pressure close to their goal for most of the first half. For our Year 5s, it was the first out-of-school hockey they have experienced. All of them did incredibly well today and can be very proud of themselves (I know I am). Well done particularly to Rhys, who was captain for this match and represented Luckwell very well, modelling good sportsmanship and conduct.
